MGCubed project is part of GEC and GEC-T being implemented in Ghana by Varkey Foundation (VF). Over the past 3 years, Varkey Foundation’s MGCubed first phase (GEC pilot) has successfully supported over 10,500 marginalised girls, demonstrating impressive literacy and numeracy improvements for these children. GEC-T builds on the GEC pilot’s success, with an explicit focus on supporting marginalized girls to continue their educational journeys. The Project’s main beneficiaries are Primary 3 to 6 pupils and JHS students. Social Impact contracted JMK Consulting to track a cohort of approximately 2,700 school-girls and 1,000 school boys aged 6-15 years in 140 schools (70 treatment and 70 control) made up of both public and private schools in seven districts across Greater Accra and Volta regions.
