SocioServe is working towards establishing a comprehensive, integrated web-based Monitoring and Evaluation System that will strengthen development planning and budgeting; track the implementation progress and assess the results and impact of projects as well as actions envisaged in key strategic documents. This will also entail tracking of progress made towards the implementation of the strategic documents. The system will also monitor inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of specific interventions. It is in this regard that SocioServe sought assistance with the establishment of an Automated Monitoring and Evaluation System to effectively measure projects’ impacts.

KEY OUTPUTS AT-A-GLANCE

In undertaking this assignment, JMK:

a) Reviewed the M&E Framework of SocioServe programmes

b) Designed, developed and established an Automated M&E System that is web-enabled for effective information management

c) Assessed the viability of the identified data and information required for the proposed Automated M&E System

d) Assessed the sources of data at different levels and information flows as well as ensure their alignment with the planning process and overall monitoring and evaluation of projects

e) Appraised the practicality of the proposed reporting flows and systems as well as frequency and formats

f) Prepared a complete list of equipment required for the full operation of the System at different stages and provide detailed specifications of each item

g) Assisted with the gathering of relevant data for the M&E database system and provide on the job-training to the responsible staff.
