The Wienco aimed to improve the livelihoods of rice farmers in selected countries in the sub-region by increasing the competitiveness of domestic rice supply to meet increasing demand. Wienco, under the CARI project, seeks to extend support to 3000 rice farmers in Weta, Sogakope (Volta region), and Asutsuare, Dawhenya (Greater Accra region). This baseline report sought to provide Wienco with an initial step to establishing a benchmark to track outcomes and impact of Programme components, support the implementation of results-based management, and test the Programme’s theory of change.
