The REACH Project is a collaboration between Plan International Ghana and the Ministry of Education (MoE) (Ghana Education Service (GES) with the support of Educate a Child, a Programme of Education Above All. The project sought to increase transition by out-of-school (OOS) boys and girls, aged 8-16 from gender-responsive, inclusive and locally adapted Complementary Basic Education (CBE) to upper primary school grades in 34 of the most disadvantaged districts in the Volta, Northern, Upper-West, Central, and Eastern regions of Ghana. JMK was engaged in collecting baseline data against which the Programme performance will be measured.

Key Outputs At-a-Glance
In undertaking this assignment, JMK:
1. Developed the baseline data collection tools.
2. Designed the ODK data collection and loaded the form on the ODK configured smartphones.
3. Developed enumerator guidelines and training manuals to ensure efficient data collection and quality assurance with data collected.
4. Collected household survey with 392 parents of out-of-School Children (OOSC) and their children, 68 key informant interviews school managers.
5. Conducted 1,280 interviews with children aged 8-16 years who out of school and have become CBE learners.
6. Carried out data analysis and presentation of findings in data visualizations, and a formal written narrative report.
